Automatic Engine

Allow user to select the type of automatic nesting engine, time for automatic nesting and position of pieces.

menu_image103

menu_image104

How to add automatic engine: the ways to add different automatic engines are the same. Take PAD AutoMark as an example:

menu_image105 menu_image106

New in V7.0: Two mode for online automatic nesting: 1. Local sever: buy a key and work with Nester Manager; 2. Log in PAD Share and buy online automatic nesting service.

menu_image107

  • Mode 1: If install Nester Manager in Computer A, and plug the key in it. After setting the engine parameters in Nester Manager, Computer A now works as a local nesting sever. Then the user can sent the desired file from Computer B/C/D with installing Marker Design to Computer A for nesting. (For more information about Nester Manager, please refer to Nester Manager User Manual.)

menu_image108

  • Mode 2: Log in PAD Share account to start nesting. User need to pay for the nesting.

備註

After setting the automatic nesting engine/mode, user can go to menu [Automatic Marker] to start automatic nesting. Read the section [Automatic Marker] for more information.

Plot...

The plot setting page is moved to path File-Plot. Users can set the plot information and choose to send the file to plot on the same page.

New postion: File - Plot

Original position: Option - Preferences - Plot

For more information about plotting configuration, please refer to the section [File] menu in this chapter.

[Marker Breaks]

Marker Breaks lets you create break marks on the marker selvage. They indicate the position where the spreader should restart the fabric laying after a break to cover a complete piece.

Steps:

menu_image109 menu_image110

備註

How to remove break marks: move one of the pieces on the simulated surface and the break marks disappear.

[Spacing...]

During nesting, it may need space between the pieces. Then select [Spacing...] in the [Options] menu, the Piece spacing dialog box opens for user to set space. The spacing is created when the pieces are placed in the Fabric Simulation Area. (The spacing it makes ≥ the spacing user set in the dialog box).

menu_image111 menu_image112

menu_image113

備註

Go to menu [Options]-[Preferences]-[Display]-[Unit&Precision] to set unit for spacing. User can also enter value and unit at one time, the system will finish unit conversion automatically. For instance: current unit is in, and user needs 1 cm, then enter 1 cm directly.

[Fold and Tubular...]

The Fold and Tubular... item in the Options menu simulates a folded or tubular fabric.

When you select Fold and Tubular, the Fold and Tubular dialog box opens; select Tubular or Folded option, and click [OK] button, the hidden tools Fold/Unfold menu_image114 and Pair/Unpair menu_image115 appear in the toolbar.

menu_image116

menu_image117

After selecting Fold/Tubular, the tools Fold/Unfold menu_image114 and Pair/Unpair menu_image115 can be applied for nesting:

Take Tubular as an example:

  1. Select Tubular, ready for nesting ;

  2. Click the number under the desired piece in the Chart to place it to the simulation area, now the piece isn’t folded yet;

  3. Select the symmetrical piece, click menu_image114 tool, the selected piece is folded to bottom;

  4. Select another symmetrical piece, press “0” key and click menu_image114 tool, this piece is folded to top;

    menu_image118 menu_image119 menu_image120

  5. Click the number under the piece again to go on nesting. If the selected piece is paired piece (Like sleeves is paired piece with left piece and right piece), because it is on tubular, that means it is double layers, so to get one piece is to get two piece.
