1. Installation Guide
    Q: What are the steps involved in the installation of PAD applications?
    A:  The following installation guide applies to all PAD applications except Opticut Plus and Marker Optimizer:
       1. Login as Administrator.
       2. Insert Installer CD or run setup from hard drive.
       3. Select setup language, select modules.
       4. Select appropriate Security Key Driver type. Exercise Files and Modules are        optional.
       5. Select language option for the application.
       6. Follow screen Instructions. Reboot computer when finished.
       7. Insert PAD dongle key to the USB port.
       8. Launch application.
       9. Enter name of organization, Key Serial No. and Key Code. Key information can be        found in the CD pack.

    For Opticut Plus and Marker Optimizer Modules:
       1. Login as Administrator.
       2. Under Marker Software, select either Opticut Plus or Marker Optimizer or both        (depending on what you have purchased).
       3. Then, select one of the two Marker Modules: Master Marker (work with Marker        Optimizer only), or Opticut Automarker (can work with Opticut Plus and Marker        Optimizer).
       4. Select appropriate Security Key Driver type.
       5. Follow screen Instructions. Reboot computer when finished.
       6. Insert two dongle keys (come with the CD pack) to the USB ports.
       7. Launch application.
       8. Enter name of organization, Key Serial No. and Key Code for either Opticut        Automarker or Master Marker. Key Information can be found in the CD pack.
       9. Another dialogue box appears, enter Key Serial No. and Key Code for Opticut Plus / Marker Optimizer. Key Information can be found in the CD pack.

    Q: What is the system requirement to run PAD System?

    Q: Is PAD v4.8 compatible with Windows Vista?
    A: Yes, PAD v4.8 is compatible with Windows Vista. In a multi-user environment,the      administrator has to do a system-wise initialization of V4.8 applications at the first      run (before any other user). To do this, right-click on icon of V4.8 application in the      Start menu and select "Run as administrator". Enter initialization code and exit.      Repeat the same for every application installed.
    Q: Does PAD v4.1 work under Mac OS X?
    A: Yes, PAD v4.1 supports Mac OS X Classic mode provided that the processor is one      of PowerPC but not Intel.

    Q: How can I share my Preference file to another user?
    A: You can save a copy of your Preference file and share it with another user. To save      the Preference file, simply go to Options 'Preference ' Manage. Shareable      preference settings include Piece name list, Fabric list, Notch list, Punch hole list      and Plotting setting.
    Q: How can I save my common grading to a library?
    A: To save common grade rules to a library, go to Grade'Library'New. Or you can      upload the grading value from Grading Info to a library.

    Q: Can PAD System import Gerber files?
    A: PAD System accepts DXF files from Gerber and is capable of reading rule tables      automatically.
    Q: Can PAD System read Gerber graded pattern by native format (.tmp)?
    A: PAD can read Gerber native format with File Converter.
    Q: Can PAD System import Lectra DXF file format?
    A: PAD System accepts DXF files from Lectra and is capable of reading rule tables      automatically.
    Q: Can PAD System import Lectra native file format?
    A: Yes, PAD can read Lectra native format (IBA and VET files) with File Converter.
    Q: How to import Gerber rule table into PAD System?
    A: The DXF file and rule table must be put in a folder. When importing DXF file, PAD will      search for the rule file automatically.

    Q: Which plotter work with PAD System?
    A: PAD is an open system and supports a wide range of plotters, including but not     limited to Algotex, Gerber, Graphtec, IOLine, Lectra, and Neon, etc.
    Q: Which digitizer work with PAD System?
    A: PAD is an open system and supports a wide range of digitizers, such as Numonics,     Calcomp, and Summagrid, etc.
    Q: How can PAD connect to Algotex plotter?
    A: Algotex plotter can read and plot ".plt" file format generated from PAD. Just install     Algotex plotting software to the PC which is connected to the plotter. In PAD,     generate plot files in plt format. Algotex's plotting software can take these plt files     directly for plotting.
